IMPORTANT: ZS-52D Spindle is specific for the DWX-52D Dental Mill, Serial Numbers starting with KFF1202 and newer. ZS-52D and ZS-4D Spindle units are not compatible. Exercise caution to ensure the correct spindle type is used for your device. If unsure, call us with your serial number!

Do you need to replace your spindle? Here are some common warning signs of a failing spindle. 

  • Unusual noises - Are you hearing grinding, rattling, or a screeching sound coming from the spindle during operation?
  • Excessive vibration - A failing spindle will noticeable shake and make a chattering sound while actively milling. This vibration will adversely affect the accuracy of the milled restoration. 
  • Poor milling quality - A bad spindle will result in inconsistent milling results, bad fits, rough surface finish, and tool slippage/breakage.
  • Overheating - A spindle with failed bearings will overheat while in sue, with the body of the spindle becoming unusually hot.

  • 1 short belt - 140 mm (SKU# ZSB-140)

NOTE: There are two (2) types of belts included.  Use the long belt (ZSB-170) for the DWX-51D, DWX-52D, DWX-52DC, DWX-52DCi.

From the manufacturer: Please carefully follow the detail instructions on how to install spindle in order to ensure proper functionality. This machine is a precision device. Carry out daily care and maintenance. Carefully clean away cutting waste. Operating the machine with cutting waste present may cause a malfunction.
Never install the machine in an environment where silicone substances (oil, grease, sprays, etc.) are present. Doing so may cause poor switch contact or ionizer damage.
